This song is the best. It has a deep meaning of war. Here is the true meaning:.
When it says: 'a warning, to the people. The good and, the evil', it means that everyone must be prepared for what will happen, to prepare everyone to fight for what they think is right.
'to the solider, the civilian. The martyr, the victim. ' the solider and civilian must be warned, and the martyr and victim will be warned that a war will begin, for them.
The chorus is about the fighting, 'from the right, to the left. We will fight, to the death' simply means that everyone will fight, to the death.
'a brave new world, from the last to the first' means that the brave people fighting will start a new world.
'a warning, to the prophet. The lair, the honest' means that the prophet, weather he is right or wrong, will be apart of this war too. (most wars are started over religion).
'lift your hands toward the sun. The fight is done, the war is won' means that now the fighting is over, and you've won. It is time to celebrate, and remember those who died.

I believe this song has a huge hidden message. If you catch it, it makes you have a total different outlook on the song. When they say "brave new world" that's actually a book that is about the world being under one government, and all the people are drugged. If you actually read the book a lot of what is going on in the world today is accurate on what has happened in the book. (that book was written in like 1932) its really scary to how close our civilization is getting to that point. This song I think is telling the people to stand up and fight. Not so much physically, but protest what the government says. Do whatever you can to not allow the government have so much power over what we say or do.

I think it’s about people all over who the world who think they know reality and their struggle with what they see and hear. Once we all realize that we all come from the same energy we start vibrating at the same level of understanding and we ascend to something greater. We finally see as one the energy that comes from love is most powerful. A brave new world to live a life fueled by love instead of by hate.

It could be about anything: fighting terrorism, fighting for equality, religion. Referring to a war doesn't necessarily mean they endorse violence or are extremists of any sort. Perhaps they just wanted to write a song about overcoming adversity and coming through a personal struggle stronger than you were before. Or maybe they just wanted to write a song that would make a kickass addition to any action movie/anime soundtrack :)

This song is about breaking free from the $30 million lawsuit their record label slapped on them. The whole This is War CD follows that them. You just have to read about it! They later came to some agreement with the label, the lawsuit was dropped and they have put out more music on that same label. They also put out a documentary called Artifact, which was about their whole experience through this 'war.'
